Timber Pavilion
3 weeks group project, where 3 other students and myself designed a modular timber pavilion around the given words "TIMBER-BENT-VERTICAL". In this workshop we investigated contemporary building techniques and produced a technical proposal for a temporary partitioning space that can be used for NEC exhibitions. It was requested that the structure must be freestanding and demountable with no connections into the fabric of the walls, floor or roof.

Research & Development
With sustainability in mind we created through iterative sketching and model making a modular timber pavilion that uses the method of interlocking to assembly. By using vertical and horizontal oak glulam structures that do not need adhesives to be built on site, we can also reuse the pieces in order to create new intriguing seating areas or even partitions.
